Sadler Race Team Regroups for Run at the Winston Open and Coca Cola 600
Despite the relentless efforts of the team to secure a sponsorship for the remainder of the season, they have so far had no luck. Because of this and the fact that their primary superspeedway car was destroyed at Texas, the Sadler team decided to sit out the Diehard 500 at Talladega. The team chose to regroup and focus all of its efforts on the Winston Open and the Coca Cola 500 at Charlotte later this month. The extra time has allowed the team to build a couple of really good cars and sufficiently test for the up-coming events. Andy and the team are optimistic about running at track that Andy knows like the back of his hand. Charlotte Motorspeedway is the home of Fast Track driving school, where Andy has been an instructor and general manager since he moved to North Carolina. He knows the track and knows what it takes to run fast there.
The team is looking forward to getting back in gear and what better way to show it than with a good run at the Open. Only the winner of the Open advances to the famed Winston, NASCAR’s primer non-points paying All-Star event. Check and the guys at the shop feel good about their chances of making it into the exclusive show, which has become one of NASCAR’s most popular races!
