Bobby Hamilton Jr. Tests for ARCA run at Talladega
From today’s Winston Cup Scene:
Bobby Hamilton pulled double duty at Talladega Superspeedway September 15, testing his Chevrolet for the October 11 Winston 500 and coaching his son Bobby Hamilton Jr., who plans to race in the ARCA Winn Dixie 300 at Talladega October 10.
“I asked Dad the best way to drive this track and he took me out there in a passenger car and said the best thing to do is hold it wide open,” Hamilton Jr. said.
Bobby will attempt to run three Busch Grand National races and two ARCA races with the Sadler Team this fall.
The race schedule is:
Series | Date | Track |
ARCA | 30-Sep | Charlotte Motor Speedway |
ARCA | 10-Oct | Talladega Superspeedway |
BGN | 31-Oct | North Carolina Speedway |
BGN | 7-Nov | Atlanta Motor Speedway |
BGN | 15-Nov | Miami-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex |
Bobby then plans to run the full 1999 BGN schedule for the Sadler Racing Team.
